An Oso Grande + Mariposa Love Affair

We’re not as young as some of you, but we’re still young enough to cultivate a relationship built on love - and old enough to appreciate the opportunity God has given us. 

For us, love is not simply about the physical and emotional aspects - while it certainly includes those, it begins with a commitment founded on truly knowing one another and who we are in God. We were blessed to have the chance to learn about each other before becoming friends, and from there, we developed mutual knowledge and respect as brother and sister in Christ.

Truthfully, we were both surprised to find ourselves becoming more than friends. It began with a simple embrace, something I jokingly refer to as a "Mexican church hug" (feel free to ask us about it sometime). Before our relationship progressed, we sought guidance from God and some of our closest acquaintances and were pleasantly surprised by the answers we received.

We were engaged on August 2, 2024, and have spent our time since then getting to know one another. It has been a delightful journey that has brought us to where we are today.
